Round Rock, 20 miles north of Austin, is one of the fastest growing cities in the country.
Currently,
just over 61,000 residents enjoy the numerous family style amenities of
the area. One of the most popular is the Dell Diamond, home to the
Round Rock Express. The AA minor league team for the Houston Astros
regularly packs in sell out crowds. For additional outdoor fun
residents can relax at one of the thirty parks in the area.
Situated
on the Chisholm Trail, there are numerous historical points of interest
to explore. Home to Dell Computer and several other large employers,
this area is a natural choice for employees seeking an easy commute.
Most of the communities in the area are suburban in character and built
on the terrain of the Blackland Prairie.

course communities include Forest Creek and Teravista and other master
planned communities include, but are not limited to, Behrens Ranch,
Lake Forest, Mayfield Ranch, Vista Oaks, Sonoma, Vista Oaks, and Walsh
Ranch. Standard shopping amenities are relatively convenient and very
busy including La Frontera and The Round Rock Premium Outlet a premiere
upscale outlet mall in Central Texas. A 55-acre specialty retail center
is also planned to open next to the mall, as well as a major regional
grocery store.
Additionally, several other large-scale
projects in the works to accommodate the booming growth in the Round
Rock area include Scott & White Memorial Hospital,a 250-bed
specialty hospital at I-35 and University Blvd and Seton Healthcare
Network plans to complete a new hospital by 2011. A new IKEA is now
open and Texas State University at Round Rock Higher Education Center.
A draw for young professionals and their families, the median age is
29.3 years. Children in the Round Rock area attend schools in the
acclaimed Round Rock Independent School District.
