Located 25 miles Southwest of Austin this area is often referred to as the "Gateway to the Texas Hill Country".

Established in 1875, this small, growing bedroom community is predominately rural. Homes in this area are typically custom homes on large lots with a country setting although that is starting to change. Alternatively, several master planned communities, including Belterra and Highpointe, are sprouting up in Dripping Springs expanding the options available to those looking for something outside of Austin proper. Because of the growth in this area, getting into Austin can be a challenge during peak traffic times.
